How it's built
Inside the NR/R.
- Radial-flow turbine
- Floating bearings inside the casing, lubricated by the engine's own oil system; bearing life over 25,000 hours
- Water-free design: no cooling water connections
- Runs on heavy fuel oil up to IF-700, marine diesel and gas
- Pressure ratio up to 4.0; gas inlet temperature up to 650 °C
